Long Beach Here We Come (and the rest of Southern California)

I have found it strange that if you operate a great restaurant and the world beats a path to your door, you quickly expand and add more restaurants so that other people can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Bruxie Gourmet Waffle didn't open the one store in Orange, generate lines around the block and stop there. They quickly added restaurants in Brea, Huntington Beach, Irvine and Costa Mesa. But in property management, as far as I can tell, so far, if a property management company does a great job in one area of Southern California, they stop there. So unfortunately, property owners in all areas of Southern California are subjected to whatever level of service and cost that exists in that area where the property is located. I am determined to change that. Progressive Property Management will be Southern California first regional property management company. How will we accomplish that? A property management company must be close to the properties they manage. For example, we won't manage a property that takes more than 30 minutes to reach by car. The solution? We will be opening branches throughout Southern California. Some will be direct reports of me (I am broker of record) and others will be joint ventures with real estate companies looking to become more full service and offer property management services. We just opened our West OC office (they will manage all of our Beach Cities properties) and next will be Long Beach. After that we will open a Downey/Whittier/Norwalk area (East of the 710, South of the 60 and North of the 91), then the Foothills (Pasadena, Glendale, Rosemead), and lastly the San Fernando Valley. It might take 2 or 3 years, but by 2016 or so, we will have coverage of all of Southern California. So if you have a condo in Riverside, a 7 unit building in the Valley and a single family home in Orange County, we can manage them all. Each branch will be held to our high standards and offer the lowest possible fee because of our economies of scale. I am excited to accomplish this big goal, but with the support of owners looking for a better way to manage properties, we will achieve this goal.
